SPC Mini-Tournaments

New for 2024 are SPC Mini-Tournaments! A fun format with up to 20 players on 4 courts, all powered by software 

that keeps the games moving quickly. Players will self-check-in for the tournament and the software (Scoreholio) will assign you to a partner and court for your first game. At the end of the game, players enter the score in the app and Scoreholio will populate the next game! You can see the standings and who is up next on the app or the display TV at the event.

Registrations will open up one week prior to the event and is open to SPC members only.

HOW TO REGISTER FOR A MINI-TOURNAMENT

ADVANCED / EXPERT LEVEL

If you are looking for the registration for the Advanced / Expert mini-tournaments, they will ONLY show up in the website calendar if your club rating is Advanced or higher. Find the mini-tournament in the calendar and you will see the registration link (and a QR Code) in the description of the event.

Q. If I cancel my registration can I receive a refund?

A. Yes, you will receive a refund (there is a processing fee from PayPal for refunds) 

Q. Do I have to have the Scoreholio app and register a profile to play?

A. Yes

Q. Does the Scoreholio app cost anything?

A. No. Do NOT click on the ads or sign up for the app (unless you want to track your stats for the year there is a paid version for a $19.99 USD per year).

Q. Why does it cost extra? I already paid my membership dues.

A. There are additional costs to operating mini-tournaments above/beyond the court bookings and other expenditures. This also puts the cost to the users rather than to the entire membership.

Q. Are there prizes for the winners?

A. While the biggest prize is bragging-rights, there are some small prizes for winners.

Q. How long does the Mini-Tournament take?

A. The total run-time is about 2.5 hours however because the playoffs are single-elimination you may be finished early. 

Q. What if I’m not tech-savvy? Can I still play?

A. Of course! We have a Tournament Coordinator on-hand to help you walk through tech issues and ensure you are able to play without disruption. For registration help or troubleshooting with the Scoreholio app, email programs@surreypickleball.com.
