Member Personal Information Privacy

Your personal information is confidential and protected under BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).  It will be shared with Pickleball BC (PBBC) as well as Pickleball Canada (PCO) and, unless you change your privacy settings, your contact information shared with members in our membership directory.  As part of this application you will be required to acknowledge the club's PIPA-compliant privacy policy (found here).  Once registered with SPC, you will have the ability to restrict access to your personal information. By joining the SPC, you agree that photos of you engaged in club activities may be posted on the SPC website and social media sites.

Pickleball BC and Pickleball Canada Memberships

Beginning March 29, 2021, Pickleball Canada (PCO) no longer allows the Surrey Pickleball Club to collect and remit PCO and Pickleball BC membership fees or register members with PCO/PBC.  The Club encourages all pickleball players to contact Pickleball Canada directly to take out or renew a PCO/PBC membership.  PCO/PBC membership is a requirement for registration in any Club event or Pickleball Canada sanctioned tournament.  Amongst other benefits, your PCO/PBC membership includes the provision of personal liability insurance for Club events, PCO and SPC sanctioned events. Please note that PCO/PBC memberships expire on December 31 and have to be renewed to play in 2022 club events.

Skill Level Rating (Membership Level)

Register according to your tournament rating (USAPA or Pickleball Canada), club rating or self-assessed rating.  If you are uncertain of your skill rating you should determine your estimated rating using the criteria set out by the US Amateur Pickleball Association (USAPA) and available through this link and, in completing your membership application, indicate it is a self-determined rating.  Applications for skill levels of 3.5 and above require validation.
